When I do any sort of semi permanent makeup….i personally like to start with a softer colour and work my way up by adding more darker shades if needed in the touch up.

It’s better to start less and work your way up to avoid over saturation with a dark colour. What if that client prefers a lighter colour at the touch up and you’ve already gone in with too dark of a colour??

Thats why I prefer to start lighter and work my way up.

Again, this is what I LIKE to do, you do what YOU like to do.

The first session is where you can get a good gauge on what that client likes and prefers so that we can always add more or do more in the touch up.

And sometimes that client doesn’t know what they really want so it’s better not to scare them after a first session by going too much too quickly!

At the end of the day it’s on their face so it’s better to ease into it.

What way do you do things?

Brows are LOW maintenance not NO maintenance. Meaning yes you can still wear makeup with them and do your brows up if you’re going on a night out. They are meant to help you in your day to day without needing to look fake.

If you are someone who desires that makeup effect then yes this is achievable but sometimes may need an extra session or two to build up the pigment because believe it or not semi permanent makeup is not meant to be a fake look!🫠

You must tell me if you desire this intense makeup look so that I can choose the right technique and effect for you when healed.

Communication between us is key so that we can both be happy with the end results❤️❤️

In the context of a tattoo machine, stroke refers to the total travel distance of the needle from its highest point to its lowest point in a single cycle. For a machine stroke, this distance is determined by the cam (or stroke wheel) and motor setup of the machine.

How Machine Stroke Affects Tattooing:
1. Short Stroke (1.8mm - 2.5mm)
• Less needle penetration
• Softer hit, better for shading and soft blending

2. Medium Stroke (2.6mm - 3.5mm)
• Balanced between power and control

3. Long Stroke (3.6mm - 4.5mm)
• Deeper penetration, more powerful hit
• Ideal for bold lines and solid color packing
• Less trauma in fewer passes, but less control for soft shading

For permanent makeup (PMU), shorter strokes (2.5mm or below) are often preferred, especially for nano brows and powder brows, since they allow for precise and controlled pigment implantation.
