Nano Brows
Nano brows are a semi-permanent eyebrow enhancement technique that uses a specialized, ultra-fine needle to deposit pigment into the skin in a precise, hair-like pattern. This technique is similar to microblading, but using a needle instead of a blade.
Nano brows are typically created using a machine with a single, tiny needle that creates very fine, crisp strokes that closely mimic the natural look of eyebrow hairs.
The result is a more defined, fuller brow that still looks natural. The precision of the nano needle allows for extremely detailed and realistic strokes, making nano brows especially ideal for clients with sparse or uneven brows. The treatment typically lasts anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and how well the client follows aftercare instructions.
Advantages of nano brows:
- Fine, detailed strokes – The tiny needle creates thinner, more defined hair strokes that blend well with your natural brow hair.
- Long-lasting – The pigment can last up to 1-3 years with proper care.
- Minimal discomfort – Some people find nano brow procedures less painful.
- Better for all skin types – Nano brows tend to work well for various skin types, including oily or sensitive skin, which can be more challenging for traditional microblading.
It’s a great choice for anyone looking to enhance the shape and fullness of their brows with a more natural, refined finish.
Powder Brows
Powder brows, also known as ombre brows or powder brow tattooing, is a semi-permanent eyebrow technique that creates a soft, shaded look, similar to the appearance of makeup that’s been applied with a powder. Unlike microblading or nano brows, which focus on creating individual hair-like strokes, powder brows use a machine to deposit tiny dots of pigment onto the skin, building up a soft, gradient effect.
The technique is designed to mimic the look of filled-in brows, offering a more defined and uniform shape compared to natural hair strokes. The color is often lighter at the front of the brow and gradually darkens toward the tail, giving the brows a soft ombre or powdered effect. This creates a fuller and more structured look, without the harshness of penciled-in brows.
Key features of powder brows:
- Soft, gradient effect: The pigment fades from light to dark, giving the brows a natural, soft look with more depth and dimension.
- Fuller, defined brows: Powder brows are ideal for clients who want a more defined, filled-in look, often resembling the effect of brow makeup without needing to apply it daily.
- Suitable for all skin types: Unlike microblading, which can be challenging on oily or textured skin, powder brows are versatile and work well on all skin types, including oily and sensitive skin.
- Long-lasting: Powder brows generally last between 1 and 3 years, depending on factors like skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Touch ups are recommended every 12-18 months after initial treatment to keep them looking fresh.
- Minimal discomfort: Because it involves a gentle, stippling motion, most people find powder brows to be less painful.
Advantages of powder brows:
- Longer-lasting color: The pigment stays visible longer, making it a good choice for those seeking low-maintenance brows.
- No hair-stroke look: If you prefer a more “filled-in” or “makeup” style brow, powder brows offer this effect without the need for daily makeup application.
- Works on all skin types: Especially great for clients with oily or textured skin who may not get the best results from hair-stroke techniques like microblading.
Powder brows are a great option for those who want a more defined, soft, and full-looking brow. The technique is particularly popular for clients who have sparse brows or want to achieve a more polished look.
Combination Brows
Combination brows (also known as combo brows) are a hybrid eyebrow technique that combines two different eyebrow enhancement methods: nano brows and powder brows. The result is a brow that has both natural, hair-like strokes at the front (mimicking the natural growth of brow hairs) and a soft, shaded, powdered effect toward the tail for added depth and definition. This combination creates a more natural yet defined look, offering the best of both techniques.
Key features of combination brows:
- Natural hair strokes + soft shading: The front of the brows is typically done using fine hair-like strokes (via nano brows), while the tail and arch area are shaded with a powdery finish to add fullness and structure.
- Versatile and customizable: The combination of techniques allows for a more customized look, where the artist can tailor the design to suit the client’s preferences and brow shape.
- Soft and dimensional: The combination of strokes and shading creates depth and dimension, making the brows look fuller, more defined, and more lifelike, while still maintaining a natural appearance.
- Suitable for all skin types: Since it uses both nano strokes and powder shading, combination brows can be a great option for people with different skin types, including oily or sensitive skin.
Benefits of combination brows:
- Natural yet defined look: The hair strokes at the front create a soft, natural appearance, while the shaded powder effect adds structure and definition, especially at the tail of the brow.
- Longer-lasting: Because it incorporates a powder technique, combination brows tend to last longer than pure nano brows. The shading portion generally holds up well even on oily or textured skin.
- Ideal for sparse or uneven brows: Combination brows are a great choice for people who have sparse brows or uneven growth, as the combination of techniques helps fill in gaps and create a more balanced look.
- Versatile results: This method works well for those who want the look of natural, hair-like strokes with the fullness and definition of a more made-up brow, offering the best of both worlds.
In summary, combination brows are a popular option for those who want the natural, delicate look of hair strokes combined with the depth and fullness of shading. It offers a more complete brow shape that requires less daily maintenance than penciling in your brows, and it works well for a variety of skin types and preferences.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have previous semi-permanent makeup from another artist, you MUST let me know because you might need to get laser tattoo removal so that I can work efficiently to give you the best healed result with my work. It is difficult to achieve optimal results over old semi-permanent makeup.
Having semi-permanent makeup means it is LOW MAINTENANCE, NOT NO MAINTENANCE. This means you can still put your brow pencil/powder on for nights out or daily life if needed. You will still need to get your brows threaded/waxed to maintain the shape as getting semi-permanent makeup does not remove your natural hair on the brows.
If I feel you will benefit from getting sessions of laser tattoo removal on your brows then before getting a treatment with myself then I will suggest during our consultations.
